PURPOSE OF THIS WEBSITE

This website is up for a variety of reasons, mainly to share to everyone interested my adventures in storm chasing. Here you will find my stories, pictures, videos, and everything else I post in terms of documentation of my severe weather ventures. The idea of a website started when I moved to Denver from Ohio and wanted an avenue to share with old friends what I was doing. That combined with my technical media hankerings lead to the development of a website which has been up and published since 1998. Since then, my technical media knowledge has grown, and so has my audience. My hankering for media toys and the need for a continuous project has lead to the site growing into what it is. Obviously this is not a state-of-the-art, flashy site. Its something relatively simple to maintain and update easily and quickly on the road, thus I likely will not go the extremely flashy, high-tech look anytime soon.

I have also made a meager attempt to promote myself in the media realm by creating a stock library of footage, images, and homemade DVDs. While the offsetting of costs is great, the big reason behind making any money is to insure I can continue to chase and chase often! I work a normal job to make a living, so chasing certainly is not, nor will it ever be my way of life. Chasing is very expensive, but I love doing it. Thus I will continue to try and support my chasing habits for as long as I possibly can. I've been lucky to catch the breaks and make the connections I have, and as a result, am chasing more than ever! The trade-off is well worth the time on the road, and I have a lot of people to thank for helping make that happen.

So with that, enjoy surfing the pages of this site! I've worked long and hard to make this a fun part of my chasing career, and I hope you enjoy keeping tabs on my weather-whereabouts!
