Tom and I are at the Airport Park and Ride awaiting the arrival of Scott who should be here any moment. The preliminary target for us is Wichita and points east, so the plan is to point ourselves there and crawl east pending where the system leads us. We’ll chase til dark and turn around and head home, arriving at some God-awful time in the morning where I’ll catch a couple hour nap before working my 13.5 hour shift on Thursday which is immediately followed by the next morning by a flight for TESSA. Yeah, I’m goofy!
Not much else to add right now! Tom was generous enough to supply some morning breakfast to get us going, and once Scott arrives, we’ll head out. I have the sleeping bag stretched out in the back of the van so we can rotate driving shifts coming home as I’m sure we’ll be deliriously silly by the time we cross back into Colorado sometime tonight. One of the upshots to pre-Daylight Savings Time chasing, if you quit after dark, you get an extra hour to drive home. And we’ll be happy to have it!
