First of all, I want to express my condolences to those in Haiti who were affected by the catastrophic quake that shook the area a couple of days ago. The images and stories pouring in are heartbreaking. Words can barely do justice, but know that the thoughts, prayers, and everything else we can are being sent your way…
Meanwhile, I have a few items on Ebay that I am parting with to get some cash for the earlier mentioned video cameras I am looking to purchase. A couple smaller items are in there, but the two biggies as a pair of Nikkor lenses that I am parting with. Since I purchased the Tamron lenses this passed summer, I haven’t even so much as taken the ones I am selling out of the case. I figured I’d offer them up in hopes someone else will get some good use out of them. Both are in perfect working order and in very good physical condition.
The plan with these are to make the money to purchase the smaller Sony CX100 AVCHD camcorder. Once I get that in my hands, I am going to list my Sony HC-7 miniDV HD video camera. That’ll go toward the bigger purchase of the xr500v that I plan to buy before April. Its basically a trade off to where I rid of the HC7 for the CX100, just having the overlap to insure I have a video camera to work with in the meantime.
The HC7 package I’ll be listing will be loaded. I don’t know what I have lying around, but I figure to include a bunch of high end Sony miniDV tapes, a couple filters, battery, charger, cables, etc. I’ll post it here when it goes up which should in a couple weeks after I close out the current auctions and purchase the CX100 and have it shipped and tested.
Also now is a good time to remind you that my Lubacca DVDs are still available and can be ordered through my website. They list for $20 each, or you can save yourself $15 and get the entire 4-DVD set.
