Sporting events took over the weather as what were once promising forecasts went to crap and then some leaving me sitting in Denver for a weekend where I was hoping to chase. Things went downhill on Friday and never regrouped at all. I made morning efforts to salvage some type of forecast Saturday and today, but there was nothing to wish for. With that, I made the best of the time and got a load of stuff done here at home.

For what its worth, it was a great sports weekend. First and foremost, my Redskins blew up the Lions today shortly before the Broncos got annihilated by the Chargers which should slap realism into fans who thought the Broncos had a shot at anything this year. After two rather pathetic victories, they have now shown they really aren't that great. Fortunately the Rockies baseball team who swept the Phillies this weekend have taken the heat away from the Donkeys and have made for some great excitement in baseball! They'll take on Arizona in the NLCS this coming week and hopefully win out that series and head to the World Series! The Rockies are long overdue, and God only knows Helton deserves one!

So that was the weekend in a nutshell! Certainly turned out well considering everything was a backup plan to what I was hoping to be chasing. No complaints! Maybe next go around!
