Another major snowstorm is expected to nail Colorado with another 1 to 3 feet of snow by weekend's end. I've cancelled the rest of my holiday trip in expectation of getting stuck by this storm. I'll update more later.

It only took 45 minutes to get home frmo the studio, but I did make it home!  Snow continues to fall and I have officially 7 inches here at the apartment and counting!  Here are a few pics from my trip home..

My van at 4am just as I arrived at the station with only a flurry or two coming down.

12:15pm as I leave the station... snow falling heavily.

The van covered in snow.

My view of westbound 8th Ave. coming frmo the studios heading home.

Traffic on US 6 (6th Ave) heading west.

Sitting at the intersection of Kiping and Alameda with 6 inch ruts in the road.

Close-up of 6 inch ruts.

Westbound Alameda traffic at the light with heavy snow falling.

The drift outside my door.

Tons of pictures will be uploaded throughout the day!  Will try and update once every 60 to 90 minutes!

Technical issues prevented me from updating yesterday in regards to the incoming snowstorm, but we certainly look as if we are going to see THE storm of 2006 and possible the 06/07 Winter Weather season. Snow has just begun to fall in flurries here at the KMGH Channel 7 Station and looks like it will pick up in intensity as the morning wears on. Current surface obs show us in a slight dry slot right now as dews have dropped into the teens in the last hour. Snowfall forecasts indicate 1 to 2 feet of snow with this slow moving system through Thursday. I'll continue to update as the morning wears on.
