The equipment setup in the car has been completed. I was finally able to eliminate the problem of the jotto desk tipping when the laptop was placed on it. With some help from one of my buddies at work, we were able to work it out with an extra washer by sticking it inside the bracket adding extra friction. In the test this morning, I ran a 15 mile trip around Lakewood with the laptop setup. Other than some swaying, it worked fine. No shifting of position and best of all, no tipping. I also tested out the GPS unit for the first time and it ran flawlessly! Here's a quick look at the inside of the car...

In other news, kind of kicking myself a bit for not venturing out today as SPC has just issed a TORNADO WATCH for parts of Central Oklahoma. Not sure whether or not I would've actually made it in time, but it would've given me that more western play I was hoping for. No matter, still eyeing a Thurs/Fri potential. With all the equipment a go finally, I'm ready to roll! More than anything else, I would like to get a dry run in just to check the car's performance, get all the equipment on a test run, and obviously get me out once to get myself back into the mode. Really waiting for tomorrow's runs before I start making travel plans. I won't have any issues getting out of my 3 hour Thursday driving shift, so I'm pretty well free to roam. Made some great cash this weekend as well, so all I need is a go from Mother Nature. We'll see how all that pans out in the next 24 to 48 hours.
